Sunny…

This funny customer Mr L.P called me this morning while I’m busy in the filing room clearing the back lot filing.

He told me that he wanted to claim for the shock absorber, alternator and everything that I can think off because the warranty is coming to an end.

The funny thing is both the above-mentioned stuff is not faulty but he wanted to have them replace under warranty and what the hell I am going to tell the factory if I really that stupid enough to really do that?

I guess I will need more than to be able to do magic to pull stance to the factory.

********

Now the sales, aftersales and the sub-con managers is fighting on who should pay for the repair of the damaged ECU, and the sales manager is asking for my views…

My reply...

Dear Sirs,

Mr B.C no offence, please. like you said we are just working for the Boss. and I am sorry that you are sorry.

I do not see why we have to come out with the repair cost for a few reasons; 1) if we will to sent the ECU back to the factory for a warranty claim, the claim will be throw out by their warranty department for a simply reason that the ECU was mess up.

2) please refer to the photo below taken from the owner hand book, It has clearly spell out that warranty will be void should the part or accessories is NOT APPROVED by the factory.

3) I refer to Mr B.C's email, and the sub con reply :

Pls see reply from sub con below:

For the damage to the ECU, it's a little bit difficult to explain as it is a software problem which appears sometimes! But as it is a serial problem, we can't say exactly why it appears; we only know which components we have to exchange and how to get the error out!

I repeat: it's a serial problem, it means that would have had the problem also without our Chip!

As Mr B.C rightly puts it, I must write in black and white and I have to prove it that the damage that I bought up to him is due to the parts that was put in by his good office when I tried to make a few claim from his good office but I failed as I can't prove it.

So as for this case I think the sub con has also failed to proved it. So I believe that we in this case should not be paying for this damage.

If not Mr B.C, I would like to claim a total of 16 shock absober that was found leaking due to the lowering of the spring done by your good offiice, which I had fail to PROVED it.

I too repeat: it's a modification not appoved by the factory. and like I said we DO NOT need to prove anything you mod it, warranty void.

P.S : Mr K.T I think is either you get the sub-con to undertake all the damage should there is a DAMAGE caused when there is a modification done. (and even if we can't proved it)
or you get the customer to waive the aftersales from this should the is a damege caused.
or you carry out the upgrade after the customer collected the car.

I hope I have answer to your enquiry to my best of my knowledge . Please feel free to call me at any of the below-mentioned number should I can be any help.

Thank you and regards, I wish you many years of safe and happy motoring.
