Raining…
I was told C.H has left when I went to PDI today... Hee 1 more down...
This Mr L.C is a funny 1, he insisted that there is a humming sound from the exhaust 2800rpm even after I, my foreman tested drive in both his and the new showroom car…
And so I got the workshop manager J.N to go for a test drive with him and I did not know is he convinced that the exhaust sound is normal after J.N told him that there is no defect.
Next, Mr L.C complaint that the engine sound like a motor boat when cold start in the morning, I wonder did he know when 1 cold start a engine it is normal that the engine sound noisy than normal as the engine oil is still in the oil sump and if will need a few sec for the oil pump to pump up the oil to lubricates all the moving parts in the engine?
The best part is he was so sure of himself that he told both me and J.N that it’s the water pump.
But then again if the water pump is faulty / noisy, the noises will not goes off even after the engine has warm up.
Lastly, he complaint that the boot hinge is very stiffed, but upon check it is found to be normal… sometime I really cannot understand what is going on in the customer’s mind…

Then I have this Mr Y. that again is another funny guy, he keeps telling me that the Rpm of the car drops very fast when he changes from 1st gear to 2nd gear… I really wonder what is wrong with that. Well if 1 will to clutch in and wait for a while before letting go the clutch and step on the gas pedal it is very normal that the RPM will drop lower
Further more he told me that there is a fuel smell every time when he 1st start the car in the morning which I find it hard to believe, I mean if there is a fuel leak, won’t the smell be present though out the whole day?
Funny…

Next, I have this customer Mr N.D who likes to place 20 questions with me, sending in the car by the wife. She sends in the car doing a 120k service complaining the tire is very noisy when in the 1st place they got the tires replace at a outside tire shop! I mean what the hell can I do when you replace the tire outside? Claim new tires for you?
